Upon graduating from Georgetown, Dr. Hirsch moved to Atlanta, Georgia to complete his pediatric training at Emory University.
While engaged in his residency, Dr. Hirsch was awarded an American Academy of Pediatrics scholarship.
Returning to the
D.C. area after his residency, Dr. Hirsch began his private
practice career at Potomac Pediatrics in Rockville, Maryland.
While practicing medicine with Potomac Pediatrics from
August 2003 - January 2006, Dr. Hirsch had the privilege of
getting to know many local families and working with them
to promote the health and happiness of their children.
From 2006 - 2007,
Dr. Hirsch spent over 15 months developing Hirsch Pediatrics.
During this time, he added to his private practice experience
by working as a Clinical Associate at the nationally renowned
Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Hirsch's responsibilities as a hospitalist at Children’s
Hospital included managing the care of children admitted to
the general pediatrics service.
Though extensively trained with experience
in every area of pediatrics, Dr. Hirsch also has a special
interest in infant and toddler behavior, developmental screening,
adolescent medicine, allergy and asthma management, and patient
education.
Dr. Hirsch is a
fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member
of the Montgomery County Pediatrics Society. He is licensed
to practice medicine in both Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Dr. Hirsch is also a member of the medical staff at
both Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and Children's National
Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Hirsch lives in Bethesda with his
wife, Jennifer, and their four year-old daughter, Anna. |
